About Mirri

Mirri Glasson-Darling is an American writer of literary and Weird fiction, as well as horror (particularly queer and folk horror) poetry and creative nonfiction. She also does some nature writing. Mirri tends towards fiction with a Weird and ecological bend, often featuring speculative or fantastical and even horror elements. She completed her PhD at University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland (where she now lives) and her MFA at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. Born in rural Iowa, Mirri comes from a Midwest background but has spent the majority of her adult life in Alaska. She is an avid mountaineer and outdoors person. The vast majority of her trips are completed solo. Her time in backcountry—both in Alaska and the Highlands—often influences her work.

Mirri is currently querying for an LGBTQA+ Horror novel, querying for an Upmarket novel and is compiling a collection of speculative-leaning literary, Weird and ecological horror short-stories.
